Inspiration: The Windbelt, as shown in this video uses an oscillating fabric belt to generate power through a non-rotating coil and magnet system. The original idea was conceptualised by Shawn Frayne and his company, Humdinger Wind Energy. My concept aims to bring the quiet energy generation to every corner of the city, in the form of a stylish and eco-friendly sculpture. It will provide ambient lighting in city streets to keep residents safe at night, and also provide energy for traffic lights, street lights and shopfront advertising.
